Cookie Policy

How we use cookies and similar technologies on the Integrated Reviews platform and website.

Last updated: September 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how Integrated Reviews uses them, and what choices you have. This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, improve their efficiency, and provide information to the site operators. Cookies can be "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" cookies (remaining on your device for a set period or until you delete them).

2. Cookies we use

2.1 Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the platform to function. They cannot be disabled.

CookieTypePurposeDuration
PHPSESSID Session Maintains your authenticated session while you are logged in. Contains a randomly generated session identifier — no personal data is stored in the cookie itself. Expires when browser is closed, or after period of inactivity
csrf_token Session Cross-site request forgery protection. Ensures that form submissions originate from our website and not from a malicious third party. Expires when browser is closed
remember_token Persistent Optional. Set only when you select "Remember me" at login. Allows you to remain signed in across browser sessions. 30 days

2.2 Analytics and performance cookies (public website only)

The following third-party cookies are used on our public website (integratedreviews.com marketing pages) to understand how visitors find and interact with our content. These cookies are not present in the authenticated platform — logged-in users are never tracked by third-party analytics.

CookieProviderPurposeDuration
_ga Google Analytics 4 Distinguishes unique visitors. Generates anonymised statistical data about how visitors use the website. 2 years
_ga_* Google Analytics 4 Maintains session state for GA4 measurement. 2 years
_gid Google Analytics 4 Distinguishes users for the current 24-hour period. 24 hours
_clck Microsoft Clarity Persists the Clarity user ID and preferences. 1 year
_clsk Microsoft Clarity Connects page views into a single Clarity session recording. 1 day
CLID Microsoft Clarity Identifies the first-time Clarity user. 1 year

Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are loaded via Google Tag Manager (GTM). We do not use advertising cookies or remarketing pixels. Analytics data is used solely to improve our website content and user experience.

3. Third-party services

Our public website uses the following third-party services that may set cookies or collect data:

Google Tag Manager — a tag management system that loads analytics scripts. GTM itself does not set cookies but enables GA4 and Clarity to load on public pages.

Google Analytics 4 — collects anonymised website usage data including pages visited, traffic sources, device type, and geographic region. IP addresses are anonymised. We do not enable Google Signals, User-ID tracking, or advertising features. See Google's Privacy Policy.

Microsoft Clarity — records anonymised session replays and heatmaps to help us understand how visitors interact with our pages. Clarity automatically masks sensitive input fields. No personally identifiable information is collected. See Microsoft's Privacy Statement.

Google Search Console — a webmaster verification tool. It does not set cookies or collect visitor data. Verification is handled via a meta tag or DNS record.

Google Fonts — loads Manrope and IBM Plex Mono for typography. May set caching headers but does not set tracking cookies.

None of these third-party analytics services are loaded within the authenticated Integrated Reviews platform. They are present only on public marketing pages.

4. Cookies in the embeddable widget

The Integrated Reviews embeddable review widget, when embedded on third-party websites, does not set any cookies. The widget loads data via a public API endpoint and renders entirely within a Shadow DOM container. No user tracking or identification occurs through the widget.

5. Local storage and similar technologies

We may use browser local storage or session storage for minor UI preferences (such as sidebar state or filter selections) within the authenticated platform. These are not cookies and are not transmitted to our servers. They remain on your device and can be cleared through your browser settings.

6. Managing cookies

Our public website uses analytics cookies from Google and Microsoft in addition to strictly necessary cookies. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may be asked for consent before analytics cookies are set. You can manage or withdraw cookie preferences at any time through your browser settings.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies, view which cookies are stored, and set preferences for specific websites. Please note that blocking our session cookie will prevent you from logging in to the platform.

Instructions for managing cookies in common browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time if we introduce new functionality that requires additional cookies or change our cookie practices. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
